Obituary: Brittany “Bison Whisperer” Jenkins – Gone but Not Forgotten (Mostly)

BISON CHRONICLE, Yellowstone National Park – It is with a sense of… well, a sense of something… that we announce the untimely departure of Brittany “Bison Whisperer” Jenkins, who, at the age of 27, embarked on her final content journey on Tuesday, approximately 20 feet from a clearly marked warning sign.
Ms. Jenkins, known for her groundbreaking work in the “spiritual connection with large, potentially dangerous herbivores” niche, is presumed to have been attempting to capture “the ultimate #wildandfree selfie” when she encountered a not-zen bull bison named Bartholomew.
Brittany burst onto the digital scene three years ago with her viral video, “You Won’t BELIEVE What My Aura Told This Squirrel!” and quickly diversified her brand to include “Forest Bathing with Bears (Safely-ish)” and her magnum opus, “Mindful Moments with Majestic Mammals,” filmed exclusively within the biodiverse splendor of national parks.
Brittany’s pioneering use of drone footage to capture her “intimate” moments with wildlife, often resulting in footage of rapidly retreating wildlife, earned her a devoted following of 3.7 million “Herd Members.”
Sources close to the Brittany’s last whisper (mostly park rangers who had warned her numerous times) suggest that Ms. Jenkins had been particularly enthusiastic about her latest series, “Finding Your Inner Wild: A Journey with North America’s Largest Land Mammal.”
Her final Instagram story, uploaded just moments before the incident, featured a heavily filtered image of herself making “eye contact” with Bartholomew, captioned: “Feeling his energy. So grounded. #bisonlove #naturevibes #nottoocloseipromise.”
Park officials confirmed that Bartholomew, a lifelong resident of the Lamar Valley, was unavailable for comment, reportedly enjoying a dust bath. His representatives later released a statement via Hoof Print: “He was just being a bison.”
Ms. Jenkins is survived by an extensive collection of ethically sourced, gluten-free protein bars and a camera drone, model unknown, currently lodged in a very tall pine tree. A memorial hashtag, #GoneButNotForgottenByAlgorithm, has been established, where fans are encouraged to share their favorite Brittany “Bison Whisperer” Jenkins content.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you please, for the love of all that is sacred, stay at least 25 yards away from all wildlife.
