Stagehand Insists Ella Langley’s Wardrobe Is a Coded Setlist Signal

Greg Ostrowski, 34, a union stagehand from Coatesville, Pennsylvania, spent the summer tracking Ella Langley’s wardrobe across her run of stadium dates opening for Morgan Wallen — dates for which he was working load-in and rigging.

“Fringe jacket means she’s opening with ‘Choosin’ Texas,'” Ostrowski said, scrolling a color-coded spreadsheet on his phone with forty-seven rows and three tabs.

“Black jacket, no fringe, that’s a ‘Girl in the Mirror’ night. It’s not a coincidence. It’s a system.”

With Wallen’s tour wrapped, Ostrowski says he is treating Langley’s own headlining dates this summer/fall as “the real test” — a chance to see if the pattern holds without Wallen’s stage, crew, or lighting rig in the mix.

“Different production, different variables,” he said. “If the jacket still calls it, I’m right. If it doesn’t, I’ve got some rows to delete.”

Ostrowski has added columns for boot color, hair part direction, and whether she waves with her left or right hand, which he believes tracks separately with encore length.

His girlfriend, who caught four of the summer shows, describes the spreadsheet as “concerning” but confirms it has correctly predicted three openers in a row.

Ostrowski’s next project: cross-referencing data regarding Morgan Wallen’s hat rotation, which he suspects “operates on a totally different calendar” and will require its own tour to verify.
